Dating Can Sometimes Be a Very Nerve Racking Experience But Should it?
Friday, January 1st, 2010This article is about “Dating Can Sometimes Be a Very Nerve Racking Experience But Should it?”, we hope to bring more articles about “dating” in the near future:
Dating is one of the things that tend to make all of us feel nervous. Whether you are a child or a grown up it is the same thing. This guide will help you through your dating experience not so that you will be the most gorgeous guy or girl on the block, but to make the experience a more pleasant one. One that you may actually have some fun doing.
First thing is first do not think of dating as the path to finding the person you will spend the rest of your life with. Dating should be a fun experience where you get to know someone and they get to know you. It is as simple as that. After this you will know if you like spending time with this particular person or if you would rather not.
There are no set rules to dating. Dating is simply being yourself and allowing someone to appreciate you for who you are. Learning to appreciate your unique style and appearance. You will not find someone exactly like you to date as we are all different in one way or the other. The important thing is to enjoy your date by just being you.
In times passed dating was not an option. Marriages were arranged by our parents and we would have no choice or say as to who we would marry. In cavemen days whoever had the biggest club got the girl. Courting has truly evolved and we can now ask each other out on dates where we may even expect flowers or even chocolates.
We now pick who we want to marry. Dating is in simple terms an audition for a relationship. If you go out on a date and you actually like spending time with a particular person, chances are that you may continue going out with that person. If the person strikes the right cord you will eventually begin mating and that’s where the romance starts which ultimately ends in either marriage if you all really hit it off or a break up if it does not work. It can also get more complicated but lets stick to the simple and obvious right now.
However, I do stress on the fact that during dating you should be transparent. Be yourself, do not adapt the style of a close friend or someone you think has the moves. Remember that if the person falls for that particular style they will not be truly liking you but the person you are pretending to be. This can make things go really bad for you in the future.

Over 50 Dating Why Not?
Friday, January 1st, 2010This article is about “Over 50 Dating Why Not?”, we hope to bring more articles about “dating” in the near future:
You may wonder what is the difference between dating in your 20’s and 30’s, and being in love in your 50’s? Actually, there is no real difference, except the fact that by now you got quite a lot of experience. You did all your duties, raised your kids, established your career, and now you have all the time and money to spend on yourself.
If you think seriously about finding love again, you need a strategy, just the way you need a plan for everything in your life. There are quite a few strategies for finding love in your 50’s.The most important thing is you should meet new people and try new things. Take up dancing classes: these are great opportunities to meet new people.
Let your family know you are dating. This way, they may introduce you to someone you will like. You can look for your old friends you lost touch with: a lot of people in their 50’s relive past romances. You can also make new friends: invite people to your dinner parties, maybe they will join your group.
Professional matchmakers can also help you find the right person. They have extensive networks, so they can be helpful if you are searching for a date. They can run thorough a compatibility test based on your values and lifestyles, and can link you to the person that matches your desires. They will also help you with advice and support.
Your attitude can be a great advantage, so forget about complaining. You will be more attractive with a positive attitude. Forget your ex, and move on. Your relationships in your 50’s will be totally different to those you experienced before.
If you meet someone, your intention should be purely getting t know the person, and having a good time. If you feel conversation may be difficult, you can prepare conversation starters: a few open questions about food, travel and hobbies. A short conversation on these topics will give you excellent occasion to evaluate whether you are interested in a second date or not. You may also talk about your children, but remember: the purpose of your conversation is to get to know each other, not your children.
But the most important advice is never forget to have fun. Dating in your 50’s is a great moment in your life, when you can find the perfect balance between your family, career, your free time and the person you love.

5 Common Online Dating Mistakes That People Make
Friday, January 1st, 2010This article is about “5 Common Online Dating Mistakes That People Make”, we hope to bring more articles about “dating” in the near future:
The world of online dating is not that much different than meeting someone offline. You do have an extra process to go through before you can properly date online. You have to first communicate with the person by email and eventually by telephone before you actually meet them. Once you have met the person, however, and you have agreed to have a first date, it is not that much different than meeting someone offline. If you want to be successful at online dating, avoid these 5 common mistakes that people make:
1. Do not get too serious too soon
Many people assume that because they think they know a person who they met online because they have emailed, chatted and talked on the phone, that they are bound for the altar as soon as they go on their first date with that person. Do not get too serious too soon. This is good dating advice for anyone who is dating, regardless of whether or not they are online dating. Those passionate romances often fizzle as fast as they come on, and you are left with your heart broken or breaking the heart of someone else. Give the relationship time to grow, become friends and companions. If you are looking for a long term partner, you want to be sure that you will be able to be with this person for a long time and get to know them as much as possible before making a commitment.
2. Do not bring up controversial subjects the first time you meet someone
Just as you should not bring up controversial subjects when you meet someone at a party, nor should you do so when you meet someone on an internet dating site. Subject matters like politics, religion and sex should not be an opening point of conversation when you are meeting someone for the first time. While these subjects are bound to come up later as you continue your relationship, you should just stick to positive and non confrontational subjects when you are meeting during online dating.
3. Do not be negative
Negative people are a turn off. Talking about your ex husband or wife while you are trying to have a date is one common online dating mistake that people tend to make. This is especially true if you are not really over your divorce. Also off limits is talking bad about other dates that you had. Stay positive when you are online dating and your dates will be much more pleasant.
4. Do not give out too much personal information
Meet in a public place and do not give out too much personal information when you are online dating. Remember that the person whom you have met is a stranger and until you feel comfortable sharing this information, such as your address and telephone number, keep it to yourself. Many people make the mistake of being too trusting. This can end up being a very bad online dating mistake.
5. Do not give the person any money
This seems like good old fashioned common sense, but many people are bilked out of money by con artists who prey on those who are lonely. Con artists say that the easiest person to con is the person who thinks that they cannot be conned. No matter what the circumstances, or how lonely you are, do not give money to someone who plans to fly in to meet you, wants to invest for you, needs help in getting away from the Russian police, etc. You will still be lonely, but much poorer. Sadly, despite warnings such as these, this is still one of the most common online dating mistakes.
